North Shore Give is the largest community foundation on the North Shore of Kauai. We collaborate with many other organizations and support local nonprofits to solve community challenges and improve life for everyone. North Shore Give was incorporated as the Kauai North Shore Community Foundation in 2012.
The North Shore of Kauai is defined according to the traditions of the Hawaiian moku (district); the moku of Halele‘a and Ko‘olau includes Anahola, Moloaa, Kilauea, Kalihiwai, Princeville, Hanalei, Wainiha, and Haena.
There are many ways to participate, contribute or give to North Shore Give including volunteering.
Cash gifting includes the Community Fund which provides the greatest flexibility to allow the Foundation to operate and work on our mission; interest-specific funds include the Education Fund, Health & Wellness Fund, and the North Shore Barkyard Fund. Cash donations can also be in the form of a matching gift, honorarium or memorial.
Non-cash donation options include stock, Donor-Advised Funds (DAF), and bequests or share of the donor’s estate. Other non-cash donations include donated items, activities or services to our annual North Shore Give Auction.
The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and donations are tax-deductible. EIN is 46-0709000.
North Shore Give currently focuses on education, health and wellness, community disaster preparedness, and environment programs. Our initiatives and projects change according to emerging community opportunities and needs.
North Shore Give encourages everyone to actively participate and contribute to improving life on the North Shore. You can volunteer with us or any of the other wonderful nonprofits to help them with their specific mission.

North Shore Give supports other nonprofits through grant giving, promoting their projects and fundraising efforts, and/or collaborating on specific projects to help solve specific community needs.
The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and cash donations are 100% tax-deductible. Our EIN is 46-0709000. Tax deductions for non-cash donations will vary on the item; please consult with an investment advisor and/or certified public accountant (CPA) to understand your financial benefit.
