More About the Work North Shore Give Does
North Shore Give has awarded over $1.5 million in grants to more than 40 nonprofits, making it one of the most active charitable organizations on Kauaʻi’s North Shore.
Life on Kauaʻi’s North Shore is beautiful, but its remoteness creates real challenges in accessing essential services. North Shore Give exists to strengthen community well-being by focusing on the areas where local action makes the greatest difference.
With no hospital and only one urgent care facility, our Gift of Health initiative expands medical services at Makana North Shore Urgent Care—bringing care closer to home for residents and visitors who would otherwise need to travel long distances.
North Shore Ready is our initiative to strengthen community preparedness and resilience, training residents to support their families and neighbors during disasters and major emergencies, when help may be delayed.
Beyond these essential efforts, North Shore Give believes in the power of connection and joy. Through Ohana FitFest, the leash-free North Shore Dog Park, and annual North Shore Gala, we bring people together to promote healthy lifestyles, strengthen relationships, and celebrate what makes our North Shore community special.
