Makana North Shore Urgent Care: Give the Gift of Health
On Kauaʻi’s North Shore, access to medical care is not a given. There is no hospital in the region. When urgent needs arise, the community depends on a single resource: Makana North Shore Urgent Care. That reality is what inspired the creation of the multi-year Gift of Health initiative.
Gift of Health raises funds each year to purchase medical tools that Makana North Shore Urgent Care currently lacks but desperately needs.
The 2026 goal is to continue to expand medical care through essential, everyday tools. The emphasis is on smaller, high-impact upgrades that improve how care is delivered: quietly, consistently, and meaningfully. Tools include lab equipment, patient monitors, procedure room upgrades, and more.
Gift of Health advances medical care for the North Shore
Thanks to the generosity of our community, we successfully raised the full amount needed for our 2025 campaign. The ultrasound machine was officially handed over to Makana North Shore Urgent Care in October 2025.
This state-of-the-art equipment allows healthcare providers to perform non-invasive examinations of organs, blood vessels, and other vital structures.
The 2026 Gift of Health goal is to strengthen local care through practical tools used every day at Makana North Shore Urgent Care. This year’s focus is on meaningful upgrades that help providers work more efficiently, respond more quickly, and care for patients close to home when it matters most.
